The Fox Recommends: Relaxing on Labor Day
August 31, 2014 § Leave a comment
Tomorrow we welcome September into our lives. Labor Day is upon us, and it is always a bitter sweet day. It represents the end of summer (there’s technically still three weeks left), the start of school (we send you bouquets of sharpened pencils), crisp evenings (layering is always kind of fun) and the blatantly impetuousness of time itself (there’s just no stopping it).
Labor Day was founded as a national holiday in 1894 by President Grover Cleveland. It is a day to mark and celebrate the American labor movement, and the social and economic achievements of workers. Whether you work in an office, as a student, or a stay at home parent; whether you love your job – or are counting the days before you move on; celebrate your hard work with a day off.
With that in mind, The Fox wishes you a blissfully relaxed Labor Day.
